What to Wear to a Spring Wedding

Wedding Guest Dress

The other day I asked what y’all need inspo for over on Instagram and one of my favorite asks was what to wear to a wedding as a guest when the bridesmaids are wearing pink.

My 3 Favorites

I’m really into color this year which says A LOT since I’ve spent the last 6 years not branching out of neutrals. I really lean towards the pops of red and yellow. Below are my top 3 favorite wedding guest dresses and how to style them!

Tuckernuck Blythe Dress: I have the quartersleeve top version of this dress in navy and love the bow detail in the back. It comes in four colors but the navy and the poppy (red) really caught my eye. Also – if you’re the bride reading this, it comes in white to which would be such a good rehearsal or shower dress.

Hill House Scarlett Midi Nap Dress: This shade of blue is perfect for Spring. It’s feminine with a flattering neckline and can be dressed up or down whether the wedding is indoor or outside in a garden.

Sezane Sinia Dress: I absolutely hate the product images that they used for this dress, but love the detailing and the shade of green. This is perfect for a daytime wedding that’s not super formal.

Styling Tips

The Shoes: A slingback is my favorite shoe silhouette at the moment – it elongates the leg much more than anything that straps at the ankle. The ideal heel height for me, when I’m standing or walking a lot, is 85mm max or 3.3-3.8″

The Bag: I’m don’t purchase bags often. I prefer classic investment pieces that will work year round like a black Chanel clutch. However, I always do entertain the idea of fun bags especially for spring and summer. Here are some cute ones that I came across if you’re looking for a good clutch!

The Accessories: I’m a hair half up girl for any occassion so for a wedding I like to have a nicer clip in my hair. I also think that accessories can dress up a dress big time. If you need to wear the same dress to two weddings one more formal than the other, the accessories can really change the look. For a more informal one you can add a fun headband to “dress down” a more formal dress so to speak as well.
