April Outfit Roundup
This past month, my posts have been pretty wellness focused because of the launch of my LA Babe State of Mind program. If you haven't checked it out yet - it's a totally free two-week program that's all about getting glowing for summer from the inside out.
Because I shared my outfits within these wellness posts, I wanted to dedicate a post to my April outfits and dive in a little deeper on each one.
This outfit was one of my earlier Spring outfits when it was still pretty cool out. The sweater is from Anthropologie's private label. I couldn't find the actual sweater online, but I've linked up some similar ones. I really like the versatility of the top because it's slightly cropped which means that I can still wear it with jeans and my stomach isn't hanging out. It also looks super cute with a high waisted skirt like this one.
The jeans I'm wearing are Baldwin jeans. Baldwin is local to KC and the jeans are made in the US and are great quality. I really like the weight of them and they fit really well too (I'm 5'1" but my butt doesn't always have the easiest time fitting into jeans like AG). The jeans that I'm wearing are supposed to be cropped, but on me, they basically mean that I don't have to get them hemmed! MAJOR WIN!
If you've been following along since last summer, you know how in love I am with my avarcas. This year I have them in cream and white and let me tell you I LIVE in them. They are the comfiest sandals that I own. These sandals along with espadrilles are the Spanish shoes that have suddenly become super trendy but these are both shoes that are just the typical everyday shoe in Spain. I grew up wearing these shoes and people of all ages (men women) wear them. Also a quick note - I don't wear espadrilles because my feet are pretty narrow and my foot is always sliding out of them.
This outfit has been a winter staple that I'm still wearing this Spring. I've totally jumped onto the Adidas moment that's happening, but when it comes to the shoes - I skipped out on the Stan Smiths because it just felt like EVERYONE had them.
Instead, I opted for some black Samoa sneakers. They also fit my narrow foot a lot better than the Stan Smiths do.
I really like the whole cropped sweater thing (I mean the last two outfits have been cropped) but I'm all about the LONGER crop. It's so much more subtle and age appropriate I think.
Ok so for this outfit I absolutely have to start with the bomber jacket!! I have been on a search for a bomber jacket I liked for like A YEAR and when I saw this one I fell in love with it in two seconds. The fit and comfort of it blew me away. It's seriously made so well and it just feels great. I also like that it's super springy but still warm because let's be real, it's May right now and it's been a high of like 45 degrees all day.
The jeans I'm wearing are also Baldwin jeans. These are also supposed to be a bit cropped but on me they fit perfect without alterations!
The Tory Burch loafers I'm wearing are shoes that I've owned for about 5 years that I've barely worn and then suddenly this year I can't take them off. I literally wear them every other day. At a price point of $95 it's pretty hard to beat. They are seriously so comfy and I love how the Tory Burch logo is a lot more subtle than on the Reva shoes.
This outfit is not just one of my fave outfits of April, but probably of the year. When I first bought the camo jacket I had no idea if I were actually going to wear it. Turns out it's like a patterned neutral to me and it goes with everything. I can't believe I just said camo goes with everything..but it's true!!
These are the same Baldwin jeans that I wore in the outfit before. I found some really similar ones to them by Blank NYC that are under $100. Blank jeans are incredible because of the price point and they fit like $200 jeans. Seriously I highly recommend them.
