MY BEAUTY PRODUCT WISHLIST
In the last year, I've seriously down-sized on beauty products and tossed an embarrassingly amount of beauty products that I accumulated either through subscription boxes and samples for the most part. I made a commitment to myself that I would only buy products that I knew were filling a void in my beauty routine.
I don't wear makeup enough to need 5 different shades of blush and 10 different eyeshadow palettes. I honestly don't wear enough to justify 2 eyeshadow palettes. I'm not committed to my beauty routine enough to have 9 bottles of face cream. You get the point.
So with this minimalist approach, that means that when I run out of something, I like actually run out. No back up product of one that "I kind of like and will do for now."
And now here we are and I've literally run out of almost everything. So I've made a list of a few things that I need to stock up on ASAP and a few that I want to try. And even though I rarely talk about beauty on the blog (because I really don't know that much about it), I wanted to share the products that I'm confident in purchasing ASAP.
Kopari Coconut Melt - Ok so this is one of the products that I haven't yet tried, but I'm so excited about it that I'm telling myself if I finish writing this I can order it. As y'all know, coconut oil does everything and I'm almost as passionate about it as I am Apple Cider Vinegar. What really drew me to this is just how it's a multi-tasker which means it'll save me some counter space.
Dior Mascara - I've tried SO many mascaras. I've tried the drugstore cult faves, I've tried the department store faves, but time and time again I'm never as happy with it as I am with Dior's mascara. It'll be a forever staple in my bag.
Goop Discovery Set - I know you might be skeptical, but honestly I appreciate Goop and as ridiculous as GP can be sometimes in her lifestyle suggests to us commoners, at least she's not trying to pretend to live a lifestyle that she doesn't know. I've tried Juice Beauty products before who's behind the Goop beauty products and I've liked them in the past, so why not.
Shu Uemera Eyelash Curler - I've never used a more magical eyelash curler. Period. If you've used it you know.
DryBar Conditioner - If you ask me what one of the top 3 things missing from Kansas City is, I would say DryBar. I miss it so much. I left a conference early once so I could fit in DryBar before I headed home. So if I can't have it, at least I can have the scent follow me around through my conditioner.
Khiel's Bodywash - So then if you asked me what another one would be, I'd say Equinox. I've never loved a gym so much. And I miss the Khiel's shower products. Someone please open an Equinox in KC and put a DryBar next door. K THX.
Moon Juice Dust - I have been wanting to try Moon Juice Dust for FOREVERRRRRR. Like forever. And I have no idea why I've never ordered it, but I have had the worst time sleeping recently and this Good Night Dust is calling my name.
DryBar Brush - I've been using the travel version of this brush for the past year. I'm 26 years old. It's time for a normal sized brush. I told you I'm not very committed to my beauty routine...
