It has been in the upper 80s and 90s for weeks here in LA. It even got up to 105 degrees when my friends and I went apple picking on Sunday. INSANE. All I want is to wear sweaters and booties, but I think that's just going to have to wait until I head back to the midwest next week.
Ever since I really took a look at what in my closet is actually serving me, I got rid of A LOT of clothes and shoes. It's what inspired me to write 28 Days to Detox + Revamp Your Wardrobe, and I have to say that ever since I wrote it, I've shopped with more intention and really curated my closet so that each piece really does feel like me.
As we go into a new season, I'm keeping the intention of being mindful about my wardrobe. That's why I love these 4 staples. They're basics yet, can create a statement depending on how you style it.
For a fall pop of color, I absolutely love this Tory Burch Bag (on sale during the Shopbop Friends & Family sale) and J. Crew Jacket. I've had this jacket in the mossy green color for YEARS. It's the perfect weight for transitional weather and goes with just about anything when it comes to casual wear.
And of course, it's not fall without a new pair of booties. I'm obsessed with these from Joie. I swear that Joie shoes are some of the most comfortable heels I've ever worn. If I have to go to an occasion where I have to stand for long periods of time (aka a wedding, I'll always go with Joie). Also these booties are great for us petite gals because of the cut at the ankle. Since it's angled, it won't cut us off and it will actually elongate our leg! No complaints there!
