How to style winter whites
In my winter white outfit post, I mentioned that I loved winter whites because they add brightness to my typically dark winter wardrobe. In addition to brightening up an outfit, styling winter whites the right way is a chic way to transition from winter to spring. I love seeing an all white look with a bright handbag or keeping it neutral with a black handbag and shoes.
White Sweater A white sweater is a year-round staple for me. It's great for a winter white look in the winter and is fun and beachy in the summertime if you're somewhere that has cooler nights. Wear the sweater with white jeans. I like the idea of an oversized sweater with distressed white jeans.
White Mules Mules are going to be the "it' shoe this spring so why not start incorporating them into your wardrobe now? While this shoe may not work for those of you in colder parts of the country right now, it'll look great with the sweater and jeans look mentioned above if it's warm enough for an open toed shoe. Once it does warm up, you can also pair them with a white dress and jacket.
White Top A white top is another one of those year-round staples and this Theory top is on sale right now! Once you get over the initial fear that you're going to spill something on your top, you'll want to wear it with any look. Tuck the shirt into your white denim or into a skirt and consider throwing a colored or white silk blazer on top.
White Coat Is there anything more sophisticated than a white coat? We can now thank Olivia Pope for taking the white coat trend to a whole new level, making it easy to find a white coat for any budget. The key to the white coat is for it to look tailored. You don't want to be swimming in it, but you also don't want it to look bulky with your layers underneath. Try on a few that way you can compare how the different coats fit.
