How to dress for transitional weather
Living in Dallas means you are subject to constant transitional weather. It goes from summer to fall to winter and then back to summer in only a matter of days so knowing how to dress for transitional weather is a survival skill. While my new place of residence, Los Angeles, maintains a more stable climate, transitional weather pieces are still important. This outfit serves both transitional purposes. There are two keys elements needed to dress for transitional weather. The first is the ability to add layers. The second is the ability to wear any shoe with it. For example, this dress could be worn without a jacket, with a cardigan, or as pictured with a leather jacket. It works with different shoes too including booties (like my fave Rag & Bone booties in this post), sandals, and wedges.
In the spirit of layering, I also love to layer simple necklaces like the flamingo necklace and infinity necklace. I purchased the flamingo necklace from The Gypsy Wagon which is one of my favorite Dallas boutiques. If you're ever in Dallas, this would be the one store I would recommend popping into. If you can't make it over to The Gypsy Wagon, Dogeared has a similar flamingo here.
PS...there's more My fave Rag & Bone Booties in a different color Another fall/winter outfit Some fall bucket list inspiration before it really becomes winter
