Planning a weeknight date night outfit requires a different approach than what you would wear on the weekend. The vibe for a weeknight is all about effortless chic, especially during those hectic weeks. Chances that you’re going from the office straight to the restaurant are high.
A go-to outfit of a pair of jeans and a button-down (or button-up, I never know which it is) may sound basic, but there are ways to elevate this look. Let me show you how with some tricks and tips

Fashion Tape is Your Best Friend for a Weeknight Date Night
Do you ever throw on a button-down shirt and drive yourself crazy because you can’t get the opening to sit right? It ends up looking like you’re wearing a school uniform or formal office attire.
Yeah, the story of my life. There’s a way to elevate that go-to outfit for a weeknight date night! Keep in mind that the vibe for a weeknight is all about effortless chic, so showing a little skin is a great way to achieve that.
We don’t need to go for the low-cut, deep-v vibe when wearing a button-up for work, but it’s a different story for date night. Here’s a handy tip: fashion tape is your best friend. I personally use Hollywood Fashion Secrets. You can find it on Amazon.
Not only is it easy to use, but it’s never ruined anything. Just place the tape where you want the shirt to lay and voila! This is a great hack if you’re going straight from work to the restaurant and don’t have time to change. Trust me, it gives the look a much more feminine feel.
About the Agolde Jeans
You may have noticed that fashion girlies adore Agolde jeans. I happen to be one of them. Their jean shorts were my gateway (and now own two pairs) and recently discovered that their Riley crop jeans work well for us petite girlies without needing alterations.

Belt: Loewe size 75
Bag is Chanel
Petite Sizing Info: My usual sizing: 5’1″, XS, 24, 0 when something is true to size – click here for more petite sizing info and my favorite brands and petite-friendly styles
